  • General polishes

Q: Does this works on a Nintendo DS original hardware?
A: Actually, no. This is a PC application, but I tried to replicate as much as possible the look and feel of a DS game. This games even runs on the Nintendo DS original resolution!

Q: Why release this game in Early Access?
A: The game was developed as part of the $1 Jam, and for that reason, I've crammed as much development time inside the Jam duration as possible in order to release it, but I still wanted to do so much more to this project, which is why I'm still developing it.

When the game leaves Early Acces, the price will increase. At the moment, however, I'll be leaving the project costing U$1.

Q:  Will this game be a good fit for me even if I'm bad at drawing?
A: Being a good artist is by no means a requirement. The game doesn't evaluate your drawing skills at all. Since the goal is to defeat all aliens with a single wave of bullets, critical thinking on where to place the bullets is even more important than being able to draw.

Q:  I do like the idea of DS-inspired games. Are you working on other ones?
A: I am! I miss the (not so far away yet) days of dual screen gaming, which is why I already have another similar project ready to kick off (although, at the moment, I'll be prioritizing finishing SketchShot DS). If you are interested in more of these, considering following me here on Itch!

I came here from Trijam #254 - I usually try to look at other games that creators make in game jams, and the polish of the demo really impressed me! I hope you finish the full game, even if it's short. Your sprite drawing is great (reminds me of Rhythm Heaven 🤔) and the writing is equally good. Looking forward to the final release!

Hey, thanks of stopping by!

I'm actually still working on it, although I'm giving myself some time to make smaller projects in the meantime, just to keep  the impostor syndrome away.

There is not much cool things to share yet though: the lastest big task I've finished on the project was refactoring the bullet code (in the demo, if you try to totally fill the canvas, the FPS will drop because of the amount of objects to processes). But it is still advancing steadily.

I'll problably release an update in February :)

Concept looks nice from screenshots/gif, I would suggest to add a free to play in-browser version, with aybe limited capabilities or just one or 2 levels.

Thanks for the input! I'm already working on it!
Hopefully I'll have something by tomorrow

Sounds great, looking forward to play it :)
